JT3D/TF33 Jet Engine Data Visualization

Noventum developed a comprehensive system to visualize data from the JT3D/TF33 jet engine. This project involved creating dynamic visual representations, including graphs, gauges, charts, and tables, to effectively communicate the status of various engine systems. The visuals were designed to provide pilots with clear and concise information during different engine states such as warm-up, flight, shutdown, and cold states. We read data from a web socket, and used JavaScript visualization libraries the build a simulated cockpit.

Client Background

The client had a contract with the Navy, and wanted to read and visualize recorded data in real time - they had a contract to reply flight black boxes, and Noventum helped them deliver on it.

Project Scope

The project encompassed the development of advanced visualization tools to display critical engine data. Noventum ensured that the system offered real-time graphical information to pilots, facilitating monitoring and decision-making processes through intuitive graphs and charts that adapted to the engine's operational state.

We handled the web development - making this process MUCH quicker than embedded cockpit software development.

Key Outcomes

The implementation of these visualization tools enabled improved monitoring and enhanced situational awareness for pilots, leading to better decision-making and safety management during flight operations. The client was happy, and their client was happy.
